What the site is
Waterfall Spot is a free, informational directory of waterfalls in the United States. It is a starting point for planning a trip, not a guarantee that a fall, trail, road or parking area is open, safe or as described.
Your safety is your responsibility
Waterfalls are dangerous. Rocks are slick, currents are strong, and conditions change with weather and season. You decide whether to visit, which route to take and what to do once you’re there. Check with the park or land manager, obey closures and posted signs, stay on marked trails, and don’t rely on this site alone for safety decisions. See the disclaimer for more.
Private land and closures
Some falls on this site sit on private land or in areas with limited access. A listing here is not permission to enter. Respect closures, gates and no-trespassing signs.
Accuracy
We work to keep the listings right. Heights, fees, hours, trail details and flow readings come from outside sources and can be out of date or wrong. Live data from USGS and Open-Meteo is shown as received, without checking.
Reviews you post
When you post a review, you confirm that it describes your own visit and that you have the right to post it. You let us show, store and display it on this site. You keep ownership of what you wrote.
Please don’t post:
- False or paid reviews.
- Spam, advertising or links to sell something.
- Personal information about other people.
- Abuse, threats or hate.
- Anything that encourages illegal or dangerous behaviour, such as trespassing or cliff jumping where it is banned.
We may hold, decline or remove any review, and we may block people who break these rules.
