Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Waterfall Spot uses very few of them. None are used for advertising, and none follow you to other sites.
Cookies we set
| Name | When it is set | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
comment_author_*, comment_author_email_* |
Only if you tick “Save my name and email” on a review | Fills in your name and email next time you write a review | 1 year |
wordpress_*, wp-settings-* |
Only when the site owner logs in | Keeps the owner signed in to the dashboard | Session up to 1 year |
Cookies set by services we use
| Service | What it does |
|---|---|
Cloudflare (for example __cf_bm) |
Tells real visitors apart from bots and blocks attacks. Needed for the site to work safely. |
| Jetpack Stats (Automattic) | Counts visits. It may set a cookie to tell new visitors from returning ones. |
Browser storage that is not a cookie
Your saved falls are kept in your browser’s local storage. They never leave your device, and clearing site data removes them.
How to control cookies
Every browser lets you see, block and delete cookies in its settings. Blocking them won’t stop you from reading the site. It means review forms won’t remember your name, and saved falls may be lost when you clear site data.
More about how we handle data is in the privacy policy.
